Shwabe, Carlos BiographyCarlos Schwabe was born in Germany Brought up in Switzerland. In 1890, he visited Paris. Schwabe exhibited at the Salon. An illustrator and designer of wallpaper, he was influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites in his oil painting. From his early years drawing stylized flowers, he retained a particular aptitude at presenting flora in line with complex Symbolism illustrating the great themes of the life of the soul.
